Want to paint Maine, but don't have the time or money to go?
Here is your chance to invest in over 2400 stock images, on 2 DVDs, from Maine that were taken with the intent to aid artists in working with Maine environments. I've compiled a handsome collection from places like Monhegan, Stonington, Acadia Parks, Brooksville, and other places found around coastal Maine. Each image is about 2MB is size and most are 3072x2304 pixels. These images are not postcards and I am not a professional photographer, but I do know what is required when painting landscapes and think you'll find good use out of these. Detailed land forms and sky forms are included in each session. Below are links to the thumbnail image pages taken directly from the stock. There are repeated pictures with different exposures with some of the images and they all will need artistic alterations to build strong scenes. Horizon lines are not always level and some distortion is also evident, but nothing a professional artist can't fix as the paint goes down. When possible I tried to get as much information in each picture and of surrounding areas; cropping is key for most of them. I also didn't bother getting lots of sky information when not needed.
The collection of images is being sold for reuse as stock as you see fit, but not as professional photography intended for commercial print or publication. I do not ask to be given any credit.
