Malbork Castle We had the chance to see the biggest and most impressive gothic Teutonic castle in Europe. Its construction started in 1275 and has had updates over 230 years and restorations. Its listed on UNESCO's World Heritage Sites. There are basically three fortifications built around each other. We only visited the castle which took most of the day to see and didn't get a chance to visit the rest of the town, but they do have a city website. The sun setting over the Nagot river really made for some wonderful photos and a memorable experience. We toured the inside of the castle and visisted the museum which has quite a collection of medieval stuff including my favorite item which was a drawing of the human body and how to use different weapons on it and where. For a guided tour it cost about $30 for 4 people and took quite a few hours. We jumped groups as our first guide was gimped or something. Guides were available for most major languages, but we opted for the Polish one.
Picture of the main castle building taken from the road. I remember driving by it totally unaware of it and seeing it for the first time; I was impressed.
this is from the parking lot where we parked.
Courtyard inside the second fortification; this is during the tour. The tour guide was speaking in Polish and Justyna was traslating the important bits of information for me when I didnt understand.
Inside the 1st fortification and done with the tour.

Tombs of previous kings and important religious figures. Soviet and German armies plundered the graves as well as much of the rest of everything during the wars, but much of the building is still original.
I don't remember which part this was. Quite frankly I saw so much stuff here and my brain was poopering out. Isn't the warm brick color nice under the sun?
Outside the large part of the castle enjoying the sun setting while watching people and hanging out with my premium level 84 grand elder travel party.
The sun went down and really made a nice scene on the Nagot.
