View of the river under a bridge.

There are several castles in the area. The first one, Czorsztyn Castle, we visited is being restored. It was actually closed (outside gate thing) when we were there, but I secretly climbed the wall and got this photo.

Niedzica Castle is the second one we saw and is intact. Its had numerous additions over the years. To avoid redundancy click the link there to learn more.

Outside the castle were tourist things. 1/4 of them were open at this time of the year.

Inside Niedzica Castle. It didn't have a spacious courtyard, but it more or less looked like an estate type complex for a family.

Dam built on the river made this lake. Not super interesting.

More farming lots and hillsides

Pieniny Mountains viewed from between Slovakia and Poland on the foot bridge.

The cable-stayed foot bridge that connects Slovakia with Poland where we stayed. I'm no expert on bridges, but I think this is a single tower, fan arrangement. The tower is anchored in Poland and hangs out at an angle over the river.

Tatra Mountains early evening. One big cloud over the largest mountains.
